fuel tank questions

I just go the brothers truck underbed fuel tank for my bagged 84 and am hooking it up, but had a few questions. This is my first tank install...learning as I go.

It only has 2 ports on the tank, one I am running 1 as the feed the other as a return. I have to keep my charcoal canister for Ca. smog, so should I just T off the return line to the canister? My current tanks have vent hoses running from the neck to the tank, the new tank does not have that, should I be worried? Is it going to be a pain filling the tank?
