Re: new paint..80 2wd blazer

more pics....a couple of questions?

1) grille logo: they don't offer '80...does the 75-79 one work?

2) plastic sleeves on seat belt: do the sell these? if so where?

long shot: also looking for coys if anyone selling ....love the way this shortbed looks

Re: new paint..80 2wd blazer

Love your truck.

I'm not sure about availability of the 80 grill emblem. If you post something here in the classifieds you'll likely find a decent one sooner or later. For a get-by-for-now, take the grill off and remove the center bowtie. You can mask it off and paint it for few bucks until you find one nice enough to suit you. That's what I did.

Keep the updates coming, that's a beautiful K5.

Re: new paint..80 2wd blazer

Nice truck, This is exactly how I want to paint my K5 and my truck for that matter. Do you mind telling the paint codes/color.

I also have a grill like that (Yours is in better shape it looks like). It has a 76 or 77 emblem on it. It hanges over the plastic shape molded in the grill but looks fine when its installed.

Paint code: don't know just told the body shop to match original color. They have a new requirement in California have to use wtaerbased paints now supposedly.

I used Krylon metallic brilliant gold. Walmart carries it. The number over the barcode is 51510.
