Can you believe this jerk parked next to me?
I am always happy to see my `72 sitting in the parking garage when I get off the train from downtown. I look it over to make sure there are no new scratches because you guys know how people are in the parking lot.
Today I get off the train and see some jerk has parked his vette next to me.... I hate it when the best looking vehicle is not mine! I do think the pickup looks better with her parked alongside though. I don't know my corvettes; any idea what year it is from the photos? She is in great shape.

Re: Can you believe this jerk parked next to me?
That is a beautiful Vette and it is one of my favorite years, (58-62). I am not sure what year it is but believe it is a 58.

Re: Can you believe this jerk parked next to me?
I'll say '59. A '58 would have stainless steel trim strips on the decklid and they went to the signature 4 round tails in 60 or 61.

Re: Can you believe this jerk parked next to me?
Looks like a '58. Gorgeous isn't it! Upon further review, I believe that D-Rat is correct unless the two chrome spines were left off the trunk lid.

You were paid a compliment. That guy knew that at least his passenger side would be safe from door dings.

I had a 60 that looked just like that. I think 61 had the stingray type rear.

Re: Can you believe this jerk parked next to me?
I agree with Fastfun , 59-60. 58's had hood louvers and trunk spears.Hub caps have little slots on outer edge on the 59-60. The passenger side of the dash on a 60 would have a bar over and under the corvette insignia.Little differences between years. My older brother had same color 58 corvette.Love these cars.

wow! what a jerk! what was he thinking? Your truck still looks great! I would leave that awesome vette in a parking garage either. Wouldn't leave your truck in there either if it was mine. thanks for sharing!

That is a 1959, the 58 had a wash board hood and I don't see that on this one.

Re: Can you believe this jerk parked next to me?
I'd guess 59 with the head lights. What a Jerk!!! Are you kidding me! I think he paid you the highest compliment he could by parking his $20,000 vett beside your truck!
He knew you took care of it so he wasn't worried about his doors being nicked either.

Re: Can you believe this jerk parked next to me?
I was tempted to see if my key worked in the ignition.
There is a Z06 normally parked in that spot. I wonder if the same guy owns both.... I wonder if he wants to adopt a middle aged son?

He must have figured that at least one side wouldn't get banged up.

Re: Can you believe this jerk parked next to me?
It's a '59.
56 -57 had single headlamps (57 being the first year for Fuel Injection) 58, 59, 60 are like this one, with dual headlamps and the rounded rear: 58 has the louvers on the hood and stainless on the deck lid, as mentioned. 59 has the "toothy" grille, like a '58, which this one seems to have 60 has the "eggcrate" grille 61-62 have the stingray type rear, like the '63. K PS - I hate that, too! (I actually got a parking ticket at work this week for "parking over the stripe").
