brown fuel gauge wire
where does the brown wire go connected I know that one side go's to the fuse box but the end that go's to the tank where does that end go. See my gauge did not work so I got the wire and ran it to the back and saw that it had been cut so I don't know were it go's thanks for the help. oh one more thing where can I get a new wire thanks.

on the fuel tank the sending unit has a stud with a nut on it. that is where you hook the wire.

sorry Im not to good with wires so here is the thing on the tank the sending unit has a stud with a nut but theres a wire there I think its the ground that go's to the gauge itself. do they both go toghther or does the ground go somewhere else.

There should only be one wire on teh fuel tank.That is the brown wire that should go under the drivers door sill and to the fuse box.

Are we talking brown or tan......all the diagrams I've seen show a tan wire........

brown/tan wire
goes to sending unit. black is the ground wire for the send unit. brown goes to a threaded stud. black to a spade connector. can get a pic mon if you need it. e-mail me at troylv@lvcm.com

Troy, e-mail that one to me too if you can...I have enver seen more than one wire on a fuel tank.
