Big thank you to AceX
Matt (AceX) took the time to drive 1.5 hours from home and spent all day installing a stereo system in my son's 64 ElCamino. This forum is the best!
Thank you again AceX. |

Re: Big thank you to AceX
It was nothing sir. I was happy to help and I'm glad you like it.
Let me know when you need help working on the truck or if something on the stereo doesn't work out. We did a solid install, but things happen, and when/if they do let me know and I'll drive down and get on it. A big thanks to you and your family playing host to me for the day and big thanks fo lunch and making your son go get my complicated sandwich (sorry, I'm a picky eater...) I will gladly do it again and would drive twice as far if it helps you out. EDIT: Oh yeah, I <3 this forum too...

Re: Big thank you to AceX
If anyone else here in NorCal needs a hand for a day let me know. I don't just do systems, that just seems to be my specialty.
Hey Dan, were you able to build those end pieces for the sub box yet? You don't HAVE to cover them in carpet either. A few good coats of black paint will probably do it. EDIT: I also found the iPod adapter for the radio: http://www.woofersetc.com/p4851/CDIB...ce-Adapter.htm Not the cheapest option, but it is the best. It iwll allow you to control your iPod through the radio just like I do in the '85. I'm gonna pick one up for my dad's '67 El camino.
