Re: Project '86

How much room is between the tire/wheel and the lip of the fender on the inside?

Re: Project '86

Did some more polisihing today. This wheel had a pretty bad curb rash on it. It was too deep for me to comfortably sand out completely so I just knocked it down level. Not great but looks better.

Half way home!

Re: Project '86

Eventually I will get them filled in. That wheel also has a little bend on the back side that needs to be straightened.

Re: Project '86

It took me the entire day to make brackets for my bumper. I thought it would be a couple hours and then I could go on to other things

Re: Project '86

I feel your pain
Sometimes I get bogged down doing the simple stuff. I don't see the forest for the trees, of some such thing.
Your bumper looks killer though, any pics of how you did the brackets?

Re: Project '86

Looks great. I feel your pain. Spent three hours working on my truck and ended up just getting my courtesy lights hooked up, parking lights working, cleaned up the interior, and started putting my top on only to find out I didn't have the right screws...

Re: Project '86

I don't have any photos of how they came out. The only brackets I had that came close to fitting were some that were supposed to go on my front bumper. I ended up cutting about 6" total out of them and welded it back up. It just took a lot of trial and error and the bumper was hard to manage by myself because the way it is weighted it won't sit up on its own.
