it's true...just trying to be honest...you should give them a call until they don't want you to call again...lol...if the work is shoddy just don't accept it and make them redo it...it's that easy...if they are a reputable shop, they'll make sure it's right now matter how much you bug them...I know we do...

Didn't mean to come across as an attack, but the subject gets me defensive. We did an LS conversion on my 82 Blazer several years ago.At that time it was pretty easy to discuss because the LS1 was about all that was being used for conversions. Then the 4.8, 5.3 and 6.0's started being used as well and the LSx designation was coined. As mentioned this was long before the GMPP LSX even existed, so there was no confusion. I have been using the term every since.

Now that the LSX is out it, I have had several guys try to correct my use of the term. After a few times of this, it starts to get frustrating.

In fairness to your comment, the OP did post it as LSX, but I corrected it and changed it to LSx. This was before I read your post.....

Re: Going to make the LSx plunge.

Back to my original post.. I am going to swap an LQ4(9) 6.0L and most likely a tremec 5 or 6 spd. I am leaning more towards the trailing arm suspension and upgrading the front to match the rears performance. Does anyone see something bad with this combo? I know I will lose some 1/4 performance with the stick but it will be a blast to drive.

I totally get how you could get frustrated by that... I have a sbc 408, and People always try to tell me that it is a Stroker, and a 406 or 408 is Not a stroker, so I get it...
One thing I really like about this Forum is that people are very supportive and don't jump on peoples backs over symantics... There are a lot of Really Bright People on this sight, and some not so Bright... But most are really supportive and Don't split hairs...
I really have not seen LSx before, mostly do to the fact that I skim over the titles and do not get hung up on symantics (other than the Stroker 406 thing) But I do know the Differences between the LS family of blocks...
You're doing a great Job, and I love the truck, by the way

Re: Going to make the LSx plunge.

LQ4/9-T56 combos are pretty common in cars, and I'd bet even a few trucks. You may have to swap to the tall trans hump if your truck doesn't have one, or cut and modify it.
