Replacement Gas Pedal.
I got a new stock style gas pedal and I know it bolts to the floor but I dont get how it's supposed to work. It is really solid and seems like once it's bolted down it wouldn't be flexible enough to work the throttle linkage properly. Is the pedal supposed to stay ridgid and rock on the floor or is it supposed to bolt down firmly ond flex where it bends up? I tried flexing it by hand and it felt like I was bending the metal inside.

Re: Replacement Gas Pedal.
Last time I bought a repro gas pedal the hinge area was very flexible when new. Sadly the steel liner in the pedal itself was very weak (unlike an OEM pedal) and the pedal bent in about 1/2" in the middle over a few months and had to be replaced. There isn't much in the way of quality control on a lot of these reproduction parts.
