Mystery power booster

I am tryignto find out what this power brake booster came off of. It was in a 54 Chevy wagon but don't think it was original.

Its a hydrovac unit and it looks to be year correct to me, Whether it was added to the car I can't tell you but they did come as an option. A 2 ton hydovac is larger

I agree completely. This was the most common PB setup when cars still had their MC under the floor because it could be remote-mounted.

Thanks. It was on a 54 wagon but I am changing it out to a more modern brake system and it is getting replaced. It does have a rebuilt tag on it, must of been a long time ago.

It does have some value so don't toss it. They are fairly hard to find in good condition like yours is.

The rebuild part are still available for that unit. As suggested, don't trash it. I'm sure someone is looking for one.
