I can't believe my bad luck

Last weekend I went to drop off some scrap iron at a place that crushes boatloads of cars and trucks. I found a burb that had a nice driver door and bucket seats in it I wanted to get. But it was near closing time and they are a cash business so I figured I'd come back today and get what I wanted. Wrong. The burban got put in the crush pile YESTERDAY. Dammit!

At the yard I work at that happens allllll the time. Usually if the customer tells us ahead of time we will save the rig until they come get the part, or we will pull it and set it aside. Sorry about your luck.

Re: I can't believe my bad luck

Yeah, I told them I'd be back today. Maybe they forgot. I dunno. They offered to pull it back out of the pile, but the door was ruined, and the seats weren't really worth all the effort to me. So I guess I'm still looking for a driver door. I'll find one eventually. I got a black non-AC instrument cluster bezel while I was there. It wouldn't work with my dash pad. I got a non-AC dash pad insert too. It wouldn't work, either. But I got some sun visors that worked. And a glove box. And a light switch, and Wiper switch. So only half the stuff wouldn't work. I only spent 20 bucks, so I don't feel too awful.
