1959 Bucket seats?

Was checkin out a junkyard the other day and came across this '59 (?) GMC with bucket seats. Anybody know if these seats are original?? I searched around on google but couldn't find any pics. They fit decent and i'm lookin to put some buckets in my 64, figured I'd check here to find out more about them. There is no center console of any kind.

EDIT: Just looked at my pics closer and it looks like somebody mated up a 59 front end with a 64-66 cab or something. looked at alot of trucks that day So i'm guessing the seats aren't original. I'll add a pic of the hood.

I think that's a 60-61 hood with an Olds hood ornament.

Yeah, the Truck Boneyard....tons of trucks out there. Did you live in Sask?

The seats kind of look like 65 chevelle buckets .

Could you remind me the name of the town, I used to drive by there monthly. Stopped a few times but never found anyone around. I don't walk on anyones property without permission and they have no fence, you can lean all you want from the road but you never see everything they have. They have trucks and cars on both sides of the highway do they not?

Another yard that was just off the Yellow Head, he had only old stuff in his yard. Railway tracks at the back of the property and the 16 at the front. Picked up some accessories off of that place. I'm looking at Google maps to try and find the place.

I really like those seats - and i KNOW there's another post somewhere on here of a primered and lowered pretty darn nice truck with similar buckets AND a sweet little aluminum console (or maybe it was for sale on ebay last spring, just don't remember for sure). Just saw a similar console at fall Carlisle but didn't get it (couldn't carry it with all the other junk I was draggin around) but it looked like a super-sizd toaster. Perfect accent to those buckets. Great find.

I was going to guess they were mid 60’s GM. The polished bands over the back look like the ones I had in a 64 Impala years ago. They looked like these:

Hey Aerotruck, those both look like great yards, but these trucks are actually located at the Truck Boneyard, just north of Balgonie on the 364, about 15 min. from Regina. I should take some pictures next time I go out there....loaded with old trucks.

Thanks for the pics Markeb01, the buckets definitely look along the same lines as those impala seats. Thats one damn nice interior.

Were not talking about the same yard. The one I'm thinking of is west of Regina right off the T.C.
There's also a very small town between the west and eastbound lanes of the T.C. Wish I had a better memory. They had quite a few trucks between the highways.

Aero, are you thinking of Caronport? Its West of regina and has a decent J/Y right beside the TC, looks like its been around for a long time. Couple old trucks nowadays, but mostly mid 80-90's stuff now.

Caronport had trucks on the North side of the T.C. They moved the T.C. when they repaved. The yard I'm thinking of is past that and the majority of the yard is on the south side but right beside the highway. There's some thing about three town that start with C before you get there.

My guess would be Corvair seats. The Impala seats had the band over the top, but the Corvair(and maybe the Nova?) side stainless terminated the same as those. Saw a 57 Pontiac at a cruise the other day that had the same seat, original, with the Pontiac "stars" in the fabric. Looks like they used that style for almost 10 years for one thing or another.

I "think" that style of seat was used from '62 till 67, in most GM's.

I saw an Impala set this summer in the same shape sell for $300! It would be worth ID'ing them and seeing if you can flip 'em.
