i like the original patina but it looks good with the black/green also. i love the gas tank though, just doesn't seem that big to use for a gas tank.

Lol... Here is my sending unit

a visual one.. just a clear tube level in the tube matches what is in the tank
the bottom of the tank has been tapped with a fitting for the fuel line

Nice look but dude, that gas tank is so dangerous, if you got hit or rolled it wouldn't be pretty.

Re: My 65 4 days later

Actually I love this shot!!!

I like the change though the blue was sweet too. Only thing I don't care for is the roof logo. That's a 4x4 (hi-lift crossbones) logo and looks out of place.

Re: My 65 4 days later

I like the new look actually. The black and bright green is a good looking combo. I'm all for a "patina" or "in-progress" look, but the more I looked at the first pictures posted of this truck, the more the computer buisness started bothering me. Kinda killed the feel the previous owner was going for. I'll agree that the 4x4 slanted logo is a bit confusing, but as a whole I really do like the new paint job.

Edit: And I would love to get my hands on those old "spun" caps if you've still got 'em laying around.

No, I hadn't. Good point though. I'll admit it is a cool idea, and sure beats using a newer plastic truck, but it's still not my cup o'tea.

Re: My 65 4 days later

the black and green look great - bail the keg asap - theyre for beer, not fuel! (btw who doesnt know how many gallons a keg holds? you need to go back to high school and im not talking about class, im talking extra curricular ) and i dont care how many rat rodders wanna argue this point.
good job bailing the moon caps - they belong on a salt flat roadster anyway - preferably the one your pushin with that c10!
