Lol, one of these was on Ebay not long ago. The guy said he used a ambulance as a base.
I'm guessing it's a Cab&Chassis axle. I can't see anyone really narrowing a full width axle. I wanted to do this with a Roll Back...

I'm thinking that'd be an awesome firewood hauler if it weren't so pretty. That estention job to extend the bed to fit the C&C frame looks pretty nice, very unique.
