Re: What size wood for bed on a 61

I am collecting enough Mesquite wood to do my bed, Mesquite isnt easy to find in 6"+ widths or 6' lengths but it is extremely hard wood and will be impervious to just about anything....except me probably.

I bought oak, mark K kit..... but I have worked with this before and it is by far the toughest wood I have ever cut drilled etc.. It is called Apitong and comes from South America, it is used in semi truck flooring.
