67 to 77 frontend swap

Switching Halfton frontends. I have a low mileage 77chevy front end I want to put under my worn out 67 truck(front end). If I swap out entire front end X member, which idler arm do I use? 77 or 67? what other parts or interchanges do I need to be aware of? I will use the 77 propotioning valve and the 67 manual steering box. thanks

Re: 67 to 77 frontend swap

67 idler & 67 pitman if keeping the manual steering. If swapping the pwr steering from the 77, use the 77's pitman.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
