Thumbs up

By just looking a technical spec's, they appear to be as bright as the more expensive HID lights but way cheaper in cost. I have them, but have not installed them yet. I had bought, then later sold the conversion setup, deciding to go this route. They were $28 each, less 20% off on sale at a local sports/auto store.

I put one Silverstar in to compare it with the halogen on the other side and I would say that it has whiter light but really is not too much brighter.
The limiting factor is the wattage.......... it is the same wattage as the halogens and has to be or it would not be DOT approved.

I have the cool blue ones - they are much brighter than what I had on there before (I think they were candles) and about half the price of Silverstars. I think I paid $12 each. I have heard silverstars are much brighter and whiter. The cool blues are white, not blue. They just have a blue coating on the bulbs. Silverstars are even whiter. A conversion to H4 would even be better, but much, much more $$$.

How about a diamond back conversion? They use a 9004 buld, I think. Would cost about $100.
