Tailgate swing tire carrier question

Does anybody know if a 33x12.50x15 tire will fit cleanly on a tailgate swing carrier? Thats the size tire Im going with and want to make sure it will clear the rear bumper on the rear carrier.

Re: Tailgate swing tire carrier question

My tires measure out to about 31.5 and it fits fine. I have a step bumper on back that sticks out more than the sport bumpers so I'd think that 33's should fit fine. The weight may be an issue to consider too.

Re: Tailgate swing tire carrier question

Bouncytruck how much space do you have left between the bottom of the tire to the bumper? I dont want to put the tire carrier back on if it wont clear but I need to determine that before body and paint work and I wont be able to get the tires untill after paint.

My tire touches the bumper but the bumper sticks out further than a factory sport bumper.

Do you have the sport bumper on your truck?

Re: Tailgate swing tire carrier question

Here are the pictures of the tire bracket on my Blazer, I am running 33x12.50x15 also on mine, there is plenty of room for it on the bracket.

If you need any other shots or anything let me know

Re: Tailgate swing tire carrier question

My rack is like K's also. And have 33's on it. Most of the tire hangs out behind the bumper. But I just went out to look at mine, and in only has about 1/4 in. between tire & bumper. But it fits..Too late & cold to take a good picture, but found one on here. I've had several different brands of 33's on it through the years. They all seem to fit. Hope this helps.
