New Guy Intro

Hi, I am Mike and I am in So Cal. I just bought a 66 Suburban. I have wanted one of these for a long time so I sold My 2000 F150 and used the $$$ to get the 66. Thankfully I have some extra $$$ from the sale to do some work to the 'burb.

Its a 66 with a 305v6 and a 4 speed. It has the worst paintjob Ive seen in a long time, & a tiny bit of rust, but mechanically its solid.

My plans are to paint it, level out the stance, put a nice interior in it and make it a family cruiser, that can double as a home depot runner. I may do a 5 lug conversion simply because I would like to put a taller rear end in it and I dont think there are D44s that are taller than 3.08. Its pretty much going to be my daily non work driver.

Here are some pics:

Some of you may know me from the HAMB. Here is my other ride:

Welcome to the forum. Don't think I've ever seen a GMC with the deluxe trim around the side windows before. Very cool indeed.

Re: New Guy Intro

Welcome! Man I love those GMC hoods. (It's hard enough finding a good Chevy hood down here.) Great looking iron!
