Differences in frames

I have the opportunity to buy a 66 c10 swb frame with disk brakes and a 5 lug 12 bolt. My question is, is this frame close enough to a 71 2wd blazer frame to be feasible to use? I have the original 2wd frame for my blazer but I really don't want to cut it up to lower it or for engine clearance. I should be around 750hp and I would like to strengthen the frame but I don't want to weld to the original. So is it worth attempting?
