Found an all original 68 Custom

My brother in law is looking for a part truck to run around in, and I found him this one for 500, unmolested, pretty straight other than the grill and with rust in the usual spots. It's all there, original 327 2brl. with a 3 on the tree shift. Whadda ya think? Should he keep searching and pay up to 5k for a "nice" truck, or should he shell out 500 and get this old girl back on the road?

I'd buy it for sure. You guys are lucky. Up here a truck like that would $1500-$2000.

Re: Found an all original 68 Custom

This one has kickpanel rust, 2 cab supports are gone, rockers, but still isnt as bad as my 71 was. Not many options other than the overloads, it has a dang straight tailgate that I might have to swap mine for!

Yep, I was one of them! I guess I should have picked a different title though, it's not all original because the mirrors and hubcaps are incorrect.
