Flatout enginering

Thanks !! It realy looks great !! Has there been any problems ? How does it handle ? bump steer ? pics of the motormounts ? What kind of coilovers do you use ?

Thanks! The truck handles very well. With my work schedule, I've only put about 400 miles on it since complete, but there have been no issues at all. I was going to mount the 'vette sway bar, but it really doesn't seem to need it.

I used the Alden coil-overs, sold with the kit by Flat-out.

Unfortunately, I didn't get pictures of the motor mounts, but here's a pic of a similar installation on a 58 that I've seen recently-perhaps on this board (apologies to the o.p., I tried to find a link, luckily I'd saved a copy!). The only concern is clearance for the rack

I am convinced...I bought a C-4 (early model) front end today !! It seems to be in very good condition,overhauled new joints and discs !! Will pick it up later this month .. Flat out

I think, that, depending on what you pay for the corvette ifs, it compares pretty favorably with most of the mid-high end mustang conversions. I picked up my ifs for $500, the kit ran around 1200. I had to replace the bushings and redo the brakes, but I think total cost was around $2200US. I was looking at about the same price (or a bit more) for the Heidt and Fatman kits.

The Progressive kit looks similar to Flat-out's, what decided it for me was that the Flat-out kit uses the 'vette rack and pinion, while the Progressive kit requires you to source a T-bird rack.

And (at least in my opinion) it's cooler to have a 'vette front end!

That was my main issue to !! ALL Well i payed somewhere around 900 $ for mine !! Expensive in the states ! But cheap here in sweden..Normal price here is around 1300-1500 $ and they arent so easy to spot !!

Those are from an 85 corvette along with the engine and transmission. Have not had any steering issues. Would love to have a better turning radius though.
