Radiator hose connections - Stock to 5.3L

I am putting a 5.3L into my 67 using the original radiator. (I'd like a new aluminum radiator but can't afford it right now)

The inlet and outlet are different sizes.
What have you guys done to match the hoses.
Radiator has a 1-1/2 inlet motor has 1-1/4
and
radiator 1-3/4 outlet and motor has 1-1/2

I've seen some hose size adapters but am interested if some are better than others.

I have also seen adapters to put inline on the radiator inlet hose so that I can plug in my steam port line. Has anyone used this?

I guess I found the answer to my own questions.

I found the link to JTR in the LS Swap info thread. Looks like they have what I need.

On the "LS Engine Swap Info" sticky in post #6 there is a link to "JTR" which has a bunch of radiator hose type fittings.

They have one that is a metal T that you can have 1-1/2 on one side and 1-1/4 on the other side and there is a 1/8 npt port that they will put in a 1/4" hose barb. This can be used for the steam port hose from the block. It also has a drain cock that can be opened to let out any air. You can also get one with a sight glass on the side to see fluid level. The nice thing with this is that the steam port will be up at the highest point of the radiator where it should be.

They also have a bunch of adapters for transitioning from different hose diameters.

I am probably going to go ahead and get one of the adapters for the steam port. It looks like it will work well.

If you get a stock 00-06 chevy truck/tahoe ect upper hose you can strech it over your stock radaitor. WD-40 or Vasealine works great! thats what i'm running.

I used stock new truck upper hose and a part from my old upper hose to make the lower connect. Fits like really tight glove...
