Intake selection
I have been researching and reading up on intakes(staying fuel injection) for the LS based motors and I want to narrow down my selections. This intake will go on a 6.0l w/Texas speed Torquer V.2 cam and will eventually have a 150 shot on NOS for the strip. I have narrowed it down to 3 choices: Edelbrock Vic Jr w/elbow, Edelbrock Pro Flo XT, or Professional Products 96mm. I really like the look of the Vic Jr with the elbow but don't want to lose bottom end power. Will I lose alot down low with the Vic?

Re: Intake selection
I don't have the answer to your question and maybe someone will jump in soon. But if not, you might try this question over on www.ls1tech.com in the performance truck forum. Ton of info over there on this subject.

Re: Intake selection
You will lose a bunch of low end torque with the victor jr. That intake is for lighter cars making power up above 7000rpm. It will be down on power everywhere until you get north of 5000 rpm. If you want a carb style intake, run a dual plane and a 4150 top mount throttle body w/out an elbow for best results.
Of your choices listed, the pro-flow is the best for your app. I personally don't like the pro-products intakes, I tuned a car with one and it did not perform very well. He picked up decent power by ditching it in favor of a stock LS2 intake. I would also consider a stock LS6 intake for your application as well, they are stellar performers and you can pick them up used for about 300 bucks.

Re: Intake selection
That is what I thought about the Vic Jr. I will stick with the stock truck intake for now and maybe upgrade to a LS6 later.
