WIW 72 Cheyenne SWB, BB
I'm pretty sure I'm going to get this, but would like some feedback.
The Good: 90% original, SPID, VIN, and frame numbers match. Tach, tilt, air (complete, not working), posi., comes with a set of NOS lower trim, still in packaging, big block with all brackets. The Bad: Seat needs reupholstered, needs paint - Lt Olive, needs doors, has headers, missing original air cleaner. The Ugly: Needs bedsides, rockers, cab corners, back supports, and some floor patches. Thanks

I would say $2,000 at the bottom. The truck is pretty rare being a SWB and big block, plus good options. I could see someone paying up to $4,000 for a truck like that.
Lots of rare and valuable parts on that truck.

You'd be going almost right by me to get it, I have some 72 doors I've seen that thing and wondered about it. If it is all matching and a real cheyenne, I would think its worth close to what they are asking

Re: WIW 72 Cheyenne SWB, BB
Depends. His ad said $3500, but it's $3900 if you want the carb he has on it. I offered him $3500 w/o carb and now he doesn't want to sell. I think he fell more and more in live with it as he described it.

Re: WIW 72 Cheyenne SWB, BB
Looks like a good project to me. And considering the rad/shroud/4 core supports/BB brackets, and A/C stuff is there....along with the NOS lower trim, I think it's a pretty good buy at his asking price (If he decides to sell )

Re: WIW 72 Cheyenne SWB, BB
I paid 1800 for mine. power steering robbed, A/C robbed. Engine and Transmission needs rebuilt.
It appeared like it just needed blocked and a floor panel replacement. There was a lot more cancer than met the eye. So if rockers inner and outer, cab floor and rest of body is solid. I think if I did it again I would pay the extra money for the lost weekends just to replace 1 floor panel. |
