I got a few pictures of the pin stripping Ron Hernandez freehanded for me. He did the work in like 15 minutes and didn't even lay down a stencil or straight edge Also I like this pic of me rollin next to dinos sub.

Re: my 84 swb by wcdfab
Your truck is sick man. I posted a bit ago on the 73-87 pic thread on getting the square bodies or just all the bagged non bagged c10's together for a cruise or whatever in AZ. I wish I had the skills and shop to be able to get my front end that low! Mine is cruisin california style, ass on the ground with front up. But I did stuff a LS Gen III with a 4l60e under the hood. Check out my build.

Re: my 84 swb by wcdfab
Sorry for bringing this back up but I just wanted to say this is probably my favorite truck. Theres something about flat tan, used and abused trucks that have things done to them, whether bagged or a 10 second truck, just catches my eyes. Doesnt matter how much money I have, or dont have lol, I would still want a flat tan truck. Kinda like the 1970 monte carlo in tokyo drift, when you mix muscle and the color its like sex for me. Just wanted to let ya know.

Re: my 84 swb by wcdfab
haha thanks man!! almost every time I take my truck out I get the "that thing is gonna look good once its painted" comment, I always respond "it just got painted..see the stripes?" I am going to re-shoot the inside of the bed and then "age" it to match the rest of the truck, I want it to look like the bed work is as old as the truck.

Agreed! My dream truck is a 47' farm truck on the ground in factory paint dents and all. Love the 84 man. I want to do the pin stripes as well.

Truck rides great 1/8th in off the ground. "Would you like to sign my protection to add more speed bumps?" that was a funny day. Post a pic of your truck and your vintage bmx bike.

Re: my 84 swb by wcdfab
Amazing build man, I love the originality in the front end, especially the shock towers and pre-runnerish hoops.
And yeah I dig the paint and striping too, fits it perfect. Must be a good feeling creeping down the road in this beast, any pics of the way you braced the rail under the floor when you cut the rockers ? Im about to do the same. |

Re: my 84 swb by wcdfab
Truck looks so badass with the pinstriping!!
Quick Question What are you using for a sway bar? Ive thought about doing my truck similar to how yours was done and I've always wondered about the sway bar. |

Re: my 84 swb by wcdfab
Man I love the truck, the work looks great and I love the original patina. If it had a 4 headlight front clip with the original 84 grille, It would be 100% perfect. Whats the interior look like?

Re: my 84 swb by wcdfab
Hey thanks man. I have been meaning to take interior pics. I will have to do that soon. But the dash pad, door panels and bench seat are all wrapped in black tweed. And since the a/c was removed I replaced the dash trim with non a/c pieces to clean it all up. and also added a wooden gt steering wheel. it's also got new black carpet. Its simple but clean.
