Re: 3/4 ton possi rear diff

Good price for a coil spring rear. The metal tag on the left side of the cover should tell you the gears. If it is from the big block truck, it could be 3:54 which should be desireable. Good luck with the sale.

Re: 3/4 ton possi rear diff

Wow, Thats a coil Dana 60.....I thought only the GMC leaf trucks used that rear.

That would be a good axle to narrow for racing...Instead of using a 9".

Good luck with the sale.

Re: 3/4 ton possi rear diff

Think I'd have any issues putting that in a 72 2wd?

I would like to put a posi rear end in my truck, have the cash, and am about 5-6 hours away from you.

Any problems with it?

It was a running, driving truck, I dont know why you could not put it in a 72, this is a 3/4 ton 8 lug, what do you have?

Re: 3/4 ton possi rear diff

If you are asking if the entire axle assembly would swap in, it should, but you would have 6 bolt rims in front and 8 in the rear.

Don't know about just swapping out the internals. I read that some are interchangeable, but you would need to know how to properly set up a differential, which isn't for the faint of heart.
