NOS dash pad?
I found and I want, but can't afford. My question is, would a dash pad that was made 30-40 years ago tend to crack easier than a newer repo? I am not a numbers guys or an NOS fanatic but just curious

Re: NOS dash pad?
That is a fair buy ...they usually make more than that on ebay'
I have had a couple of nos pads and they have stayed perfect;heat and sunlight seems to kill them;my 15000km 1980 dually has a perfect original dash but it has always been garaged ....and we are in Canada so we do not get the hot sun like Arizona.there is nothing like an original dash to make your interior look good. |

Re: NOS dash pad?
I don't know about a NOS OEM dash being likely to crack sooner, but I can guarantee you that it will eventually crack, like any dash. In your part of the country it will last longer. In my part of the country I would give it 3 years max before cracking.
