There is concrete that is down REALLY thick all around the base, all the way to the bottom. The lift is made to be an outdoor lift. There is nothing the weather can hurt. It has been up for 5 years and is still like new.

As the rest have said this is a normal condition for our truck's but just wanted to make it clear i bought my '87 new and my frame is that way as well and my truck has never been in a accident.
Not too shure if i would strighten it tho. |

Wow I thought my truck was wrecked to. I beat the damn thing out before I powdered the frame!!! That is weird to find out now!!!!!!

I thought it was because of a wreck too because I KNOW my truck was wrecked (my dad was involved in an accident - not his fault) and on the other side of that bend there are giant claw marks from where they had it in the machine to straighten the frame. My truck also has a salvage title on it because of the wreck. I'll never get any money out of this thing if I ever sell it (yeah right! Out of my cold dead hands) It blue booked at $4000 and with a salvage title it was $1800!!! It's mine suckers!

i didnt think it was from a wreck... to me it looked like the PO got it stuck and tried to free it by pulling it sideways...glad its normal though......
