Cost of lowering a truck?
In my search for a truck, I'm encountering many lifted trucks, which I do not care for. Could someone give me a ballpark idea of what it would cost to bring a truck back to factory standards? Thanks

Re: Cost of lowering a truck?
Depends on how it was lifted. If it's just blocks you can just take them out.

Re: Cost of lowering a truck?
We lowered my Dad's K20 down to stock from 9" of lift. (6 inch suspension, 3" body)
We had to get all shorter cab and bed mount bolts. Took the blocks out of the rear. And did some trading for a set of stock front springs. Also needed new U-bolts, shocks, and a stock pitman arm. Best thing was we recouped more than what he spent by selling the lift kit on CL. |

If it has decent parts under it, you'll have guys lined up around the block willing to trade parts with you so you get factory and they get lifted. Probably some of them would do the labor of the swap even.
