Re: Parting 84 K10 Long Bed
Ray, interested in the radio, any idea if it works and do u have the knobs for it?
Also I need a part that I have no idea what it is called or what it does, easy one eh? It is mounted in the engine compartment on the upper firewall by two screws, to the left of the distributor when looking at the engine. It has a plug with 3 wires (green, blue, black) and a vacume line going to it (u can see the screw holes on the firewall in the 2nd pic above). I'm trying to get a pic of mine but having problems with my camera. Guessing it might have something to do with the AC. Sorry for the long post. Scott

Re: Parting 84 K10 Long Bed
Ray,
How much for the thm400 kick down switch and wiring harness to 61607. Also if you could snap some pictures mounted and label the wires it would help...I'm blind on installing this under the dash, so need all I can get to help, tranny connection is obvious. Switch isn't a must, but need the harness for sure. Thanks!

Re: Parting 84 K10 Long Bed
The harness under the dash is hacked up badly. I will see if the harness for the 400 is intact.
Thanks, Ray |

Re: Parting 84 K10 Long Bed
Ray,
Look at that cab floor!! Must be nice living where these beauties don't rust, eh Ray? Cab/core suppport mounting harware come out okay? I have urethane mounts for my K30 project, but it would be nice to have original bolts and washers and stuff. Mine are kinda rusty, being in PA. Front bumper brackets? Don't need the outer supports, just the ones that adapt the bumper to the angled frame horns. Any idea if they'll work okay with a '73-'80 bumper? Thanks Ray, Joe Last edited by K30_dump; 04-05-2011 at 11:23 AM. |

Re: Parting 84 K10 Long Bed
Joe, The inner brackets look close, but I can't say for sure that it will fit perfect. I have good washers, but the bolts were rusted badly...one has about 1/4 " remaining on the shank. I can do $20 shipped for the 2 brackets and I'll throw in the washers. The other mount stuff is junk. If you are in no hurry, I will be parting a 76 K10 and a 78 K10 in the next few weeks...maybe those will have good support pieces.
Thanks, Ray |

Re: Parting 84 K10 Long Bed
Ray,
Would it be too much trouble to snap a few pics of the rear hangers for the rear springs? Mine are rusted ('84 K30 cab&chassis frame), and I'm not sure if 1/2 ton hangers are the same or not. Maybe some pics and measurements? Thanks, Joe Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Parting 84 K10 Long Bed
I use that cross member with the trailer, however, I might have one in my parts stash. If I do, it will be $25 plus shipping.
Thanks, Ray |
