LMC issues (head light bezel)

So i bought some new head light bezels from LMC. (36-4341) I have had them on the truck for a few months which has been in storage. Its been washed once and driven maybe 50 miles. They are not metal like stock but they are painted plastic, the Grey area that is painted right around the head light is starting to crack off. The paint is cracking off.

Should i return them?
Look for steel ones?
Is there a company who sells steel ones?
Has anyone else had this issue?

Re: LMC issues (head light bezel)

I just bought some so I cant say if they will last. Were yours all rough looking where they meet the grill trim? The only reason I got them was because I could not find any NOS ones and cant afford to rechrome my originals right now.

Re: LMC issues (head light bezel)

what about powder coating them, they have a "chrome" like coating that might be a good option.

Re: LMC issues (head light bezel)

I bought those same ones, and the fit is terrible. My "grey" area for the headlights was all scratched up and just painted back over.

the crome powder coat'n is not gonna look crome at all, look's light lightly polish'd aluminum. it look's good, but is far from crome.

Should i return them? YES

And you can't powdercoat plastic or bondo. They bake it on at 600 degrees...
