carb

I have been looking into getting a new carb for the 66 -230 or 250. I am not sure yet I just picked this truck up last friday and I checked the casting number on inliners.org. It says it could be either. All the numbers push me towards the mono B but it has a mono -M on it. I mean could this be the issue with this not running right? The throttle sticks and there is no rod to advance the throttle when it is choked. It leaks cuz a screw is stripped. Should I put the original Monojet (well remaned from autozone) or the one thats on there. Does it make a diff? Thanks alll!

Re: carb

You can get a better deal on a carb by doing a search on the internet than at local parts places.

The "B" was the one that came on the 230 or 250 with a manual choke, but many people replaced them with an "M". I use the LMC catalogs for a reference, but rarely ever order from them.

The 250 in my '67 came with a "B", but now has an "M".

Re: carb

I think there was also a Carter YF 1-barrel, '67 and earlier.
