LS2 Mounting Problems
I have a build thread on here, but I need some help with a mounting problem. I have an ls2 that I'm putting into an '82. I bought the swaptech mounts which seem to be really nice but I'm having problems. The shells on the engine seem to be almost an inch too wide compared to the engine mounts on the frame. I have tried 454 engine mounts and that didn't seem to be the trick. The paperwork that comes with the adapters claims that the OE shells that should be used are number 334971, while mine are 334601. I don't know if this is the problem or not, I'm assuming so. Does the 334601 engine mount shells come on all of our trucks or are some different part numbers. I might just buy the carshop mounts since I know a bunch of people of used them and they work, just trying to get this figured out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: LS2 Mounting Problems
I had the same problem with mine. I just loosend all the mount bolts and lifted the motor and put long bolts threw the mount and shell and then dropped motor down and tightend the bolts. Prob not the right thing to do but has ben like 4 months and no problems so far. 85 burb is what mine went in.
