custom instrument panel

i want to get rid of my instrument panel eventually and install all new gauges, everything on it is electrical. could i get away with installing gauges in the bezel and running all electrical gauges except the speedometer unless theres a mechanical 2 electrical convertion box like there is for electrical to mechanical. but has anyone done this? what size gauge would fit in the holes for the speedometer and fuel gauge?....... or should i just cut out a completly new bezel and cut out for custom gauges? could anyone give me advice, as i could do this pretty cheap.

Here's what I did.

http://www.73-87.com/garage/gauges.htm

I used a mechanical speedo because an electric didn't come in the Pro Comps gauges at the time. They do have one now. I'm not sure, but I don't think there is much you need to do to convert to electric. But, the electric speedo is a lot higher than a mechanical.

I've go $450.00 in just the gauges and wiring harness. I used a mechanical oil pressure gauge too. I also decided to use a braided stainless steel oil pressure hose, just to satisfy my peace of mind. That was another $50.00.

Oops, I forgot to say, the $450.00 doesn't include the two gauges where the radio used to be. They are a vacuum gauge and a tranny temp gauge.

im looking for gauges like these, ive got a water temp, volt meter, and a fuel pressure gauge, but im selling the fuel pressure gauge since its mechanical and what i understand theres more cons then pros on this, so id like to get a electrical fuel pressure gauge as to it would be safer. if some one wants to buy it its for sale its mechanical and indiglo

Mike bought his seats from www.Salesco.com.
Good prices but bad service. Buy at your own risk.
Bad BBB history.

You will need wires!
