700R4 swap into a 73 K5 advice comments
i have read most ofthe posts on here in regards to the swap I have all the wiring out of an 86 K5 for the TCC and cruise (all kinda inner related) I have devised what i feel should be a fairly easy straightforward wiring harness to make the converter lock and unlock as it would in a factory set up..i prefer NOT to have an on off toggle switch just a simple operation that works off manifold vacuum and the brake petal switch to unlock the converter on its own
anyone having done this please advise yes i have the TV cable for a cabureted V8 the trans transfer case and frame are from an 82 K5 Please look over my "sketch" I dont see why one would have to open up the tranny and change solenoids if it is wired correctly

looks like you have the electrics worked out BUT have you given any thought to the mechanical? Im not sure but I think you will have to get a adapter to mate the trans to the transfer case what transfer case do you have

the Transmission and T case are already coupled. and they in turn are mated to a 305. I have not touched the driveline that came with the 82 K5 rot box... look at the pics.... but thanks for the feed back
I feel it should work too... Just want advice from some of you who have made this swap with good results
