Lower control arm swap from 61 to 64-65
Im planning on baggin the front of my 61. My lower ball joints are shot so they need to be replaced and they are at least $120 each.
Question here is, can I use LCA's from a truck with out tortion suspension and keep my stock spindles? This is a low buck project, so used LCA's are fine and i know the lower ball joints are cheap too. Thanks for the help!!!

Re: Lower control arm swap from 61 to 64-65
Good question! My knowledge gets a bit foggy on the early 60's trucks with torsion bar suspension. I know the early trucks frames, rear axles etc were a bit different. Maybe we can get a 60-66 expert in here to lay it down correctly for you.

Not 100% positive here but... pretty sure you would have to change the whole crossmember out to a 63+.

Re: Lower control arm swap from 61 to 64-65
LMC has different part numbers for them so logic would assume they are different. I would think they would be smaller since the 60-62 frames are wider than 63-64.
