Question: Quad Kick-down install operation
It is my impression that on the 69 and 70 (BB) trucks there were two different ways the 400 Kick down switch worked. The kick-down switch mounts to the carb...one set up used a bracket that hit the plunger when the throttle linkage was pressed. Was there another set up used?
So those who are mechanical knowledgeable about these issues...what were the correct ways this switch operated? Were there two methods of hook up? Anyone have any pictures on the set up? Thanks in advance.

Re: Question: Quad Kick-down install operation
Well there's the gas pedal location but IDK if it's correct for a 69-70.

Re: Question: Quad Kick-down install operation
From what I have found all 68-70 small blocks and 68 big blocks used the same setup..
69-70 big blocks used a completely different switch and bracket.. while wrecking yard hopping the other day I stumbled across and bought a complete big block setup out of a 70 that has the unique switch and brackets. I will try and remember to bring my camera to the shop tomorrow and get you some pictures Last edited by Livrat; 05-20-2011 at 11:59 PM. |

Re: Question: Quad Kick-down install operation
The switch and bracket I pictured all came off of a 70 402 and I am not real attached to them. if you are interested I would certainly entertain selling them..
