Inside cab lights

My 1986 Silverado has factory air. I thought the air control levers had some kind of back lighting. Mine are dark and i cant find a place for a bulb. Am i looking for something that isnt there? Is it hidden ?

Re: Inside cab lights

the bulb hole on my 73 is on the back of the lever assemble, looking at the back its on the left side. (opposite side of fan speed switch) its just a hole where a bulb holder snaps in. Hope this helps

Re: Inside cab lights

Its on the back like DarkReaper79 said. If you take out the controls its right there on top.

Its the circle in the top left corner.

Re: Inside cab lights

I could be wrong, but i think there is a fiber optic cable that sends the light to the a/c control panel. that comes from one of the lights from the gauge panel. That cable could be broken.

The fiber optic cable goes from the cluster to the ash tray on mine. It's that way on my '87 and both '86's.
