64 hubcaps
Here's what I bought today-almost unmolested 64 C-10. 283 3 speed with an old Frigiking a/c. I'm probably in way over my head!
Anybody know what this hubcab might be off of? I can't find it in the online catalogs but I'm missing one. Maybe a later model? Last edited by Stringer; 06-29-2011 at 10:18 PM. Reason: add pics |

Re: 64 hubcaps
With no picture I would have to guess 54 Packard, but it is just a guess.

Re: 64 hubcaps
Thanks for helping a newbie. For this truck, I think I'll eventually get a set of the old chrome 64 style.

Re: 64 hubcaps
Heck - that's for easin' those old heifers out of the way! You can tell this belonged to a gentleman rancher cause it's chrome. If it was a real ranch truck, the brush guard would be painted steel and the truck would be in at least 3 big pieces!

Re: 64 hubcaps
those wheelcovers came on the 1969-72 chevrolet trucks.the bowtie in the center is supposed to be painted blue.the 1973-76 chevrolet trucks came with a wheelcover almost like this but the center was a little different and the bowtie on these was yellow.nice truck btw.

Re: 64 hubcaps
Forget the caps......tell us more about that truck!!!
A set of stock '64 caps and a little bit of detailing and that truck would look incredible.

Re: 64 hubcaps
Thanks again for the help and for the nice comments. My driver is a '72 but I saw this one and had to try to buy it. It was bought new here in late 63 (I have the manuals and delivery slip). I was told the owner died about 10 years ago and it's been parked pretty much since then. PO's brother and sister in law were selling it. I'm going through it, trying to fix a few things and get it cleaned up. It is a bear to drive - no power steering and no power brakes! Just me, I'll keep it as original as I can, though. Not sure how it ended up with the chrome under the hood. I'd like to find someone around here (just north of Dallas) who could advise me a bit on what I ought to do to it.
