Re: spray texture for topper
I think I saw one that talked of using bed liner spray. I'd like to find it also cause I'm about to do mine.

Re: spray texture for topper
Yeah I think that's it!
What stuff is that? How has it held up? Does it add a whole lot of weight? Others were telling me to use Herculiner since mine is black, but I've heard it fades and adds weight. |

Re: spray texture for topper
Its AL's Liner, you can google it and find many suppliers. It comes as a kit if you dont have the gun. Kit and gun runs about $160. I used 1 gal. and 16 oz of tint,(white) the tint was pricey $90 for a quart. You only need to spend that if you do white, as its needed to overcome the pigments in the material. You wouldn't need the high dollar tint as black is provided with the kit. It has held up well but my blazer is not a daily driver and is garage kept. I have been pleased with their product so far. As far as weight it can only add the weight of 1 gallon of material, less than 15 lbs.

Re: spray texture for topper
Raptor is a product that will look nice on the top. It is also a spray on bed liner that comes with the sprayer. You can spray it at thin or thick as you want. It should be approximately $120. It comes in Black, gray, or tintable versions. This is a super-easy to use product.
Zolatone is another great product for tops. If you don't like the flat look of it, you can clear coat it. |
