Blazer tank in k10 - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hey y'all I'm new to the site and I figured I'd post a question I have...

I have an 85 k10 that I'm currently building up. I am swapping in a 31 gallon blazer tank for the side tank the truck had, and I'm also swapping the motor to TBI since I had everything laying around to do it. I used an 87 harness to swap into the truck for everything and I deleted the dual tank portion of that harness (learned some things along the way)

The motor is mildly modified, and I have the hard parts to run tuned port injection but I don't have a harness or computer. I am going to be running a tpi fuel pump on my modified TBI engine that's going into the truck so....I was wondering if anyone would know a good place to buy fuel lines so I can make my own or any pre-made lines that I could use? If I could make it to where I could reuse most/all of the lines if I swap to tpi, that would be great. Anyone that has done this or anything like it, or anyone have ideas? Anything would be greatly appreciated!!

I mounted a 31 gallon blazer tank in the back of my 77 K10 shortbox. I just bought some 3/8 steel line and made my own fuel lines, but I'm carbed so I cant help with FI lines. I did however reroute my fuel gauge wire to the drivers side with the taillight harness instead of running it with the starter wires.

That front crossmember for the gas tank looks good man. I had an idea of doing it all in metal line but putting fittings on it to unscrew the front portion in case I do swap to tpi...and it would prolly be easier bending 2 sections instead of one....how hard was it doing all the bends?

It wasnt too bad, just get a cheap hand held tubing bender and you'll be fine. The hardest bend was the almost 180 degree bend by the fuel pump. I used 1/8 wall 1" X 1" square tubing for the front crossmember and moved the rear crossmember back about 5 inches. It also uses stock blazer straps.

I moved my rear crossmember back and fabbed up a front one also. Yours looks way better though! Iv been looking into steel braided flex hose...might do that idk yet.

Just out of curiousity, why are you going to run a tpi fuel pump with a tbi setup?

The motor is modified, and if I can get a harness and computer for a decent price I have a tpi setup in the garage that I would like to use.
