New Need Help!!!

I am new to this forum and square body trucks. I have an 83 c10 SB that I am about to lower with Mcgaughy's 4/6. Spindles and springs in the front and flip in the back. The problem that I am running into is in the front. I want to run a 15inch rim and currently the ones that i have on my truck are the stock rally rims which are 15x8 with a 41/2 Back Spacing. I was told that I will not be able to run this as it will rub on control arms. I have seen alot of 73-87 running 15s, want to know the best thing to do to make it work. Should I go to 15x7 or 15x 6 with different back spacing or what would be the best?

Welcome to the site. You can shave a little off the control arm with a grinder. I'm not sure if aftermarket tube a-arms may work. The tube arms seem to have more clearance.
