front springs on '71 Blazer?

I just got my '71 Blazer this past weekend, and I have some questions for the experts around here. My front springs seem to be inverted. Is this normal? One issue is how the joint on the steering arm hits the spring when turned all the way. Can anyone advise what would cause this, and would a set of 2 inch lift replacement springs fix the issue?
thanks.

I believe that over time they just kind of sag... If you do but new springs, go with a qaulity spring or it will ride very stiff... I think more leaves that are thinner give a better ride...

the springs were inverted when new. but no answer why your drag link would hit it, unless your pitman arm is not all the way up on the shaft.

I think you may have hit on it, looks like some room to move it up
