1960 step side suspension upgrade?

I have a 1960 lwb stepside. Im wanting to update the suspension a little. I was given a late 1980's LWB chevy. And offered the suspension out of what I believe is a 1986 LWb GMC. The GMC has a incomplete suspension. Since they torched it some, Im not sure exactly what it would take to use it. Id like to know if I can just haul the complete late 80's chevy home and strip its suspension for my 1960? If not I can probably rebuild the GMC suspension.

Use the complete '80's chevy suspension.
You will need all of the front parts including the steering stuff.

Look in the 60-66 section.
This has been done by many members here.
I personally,... haven't done it.
