master cylinder

I posted on the other site but someone here may be able to help me.I need to know if the threads on the master cylinder where the brake line attaches to are standard or metric.I don't know wether they ever went to metric or if they did when did it happened.Thanks.HF

I think you'll find that 1 is 3/8" & the other is 5/16". Not metric at all. At least thats how my 77 is.

yea both of mine are 3/8's mine is a 86 tho, so who knows

One should be 1/2"-20tpi and the other 9/16"-18tpi.

IT can vary which one is the smaller and which one is the larger depending on which braking system you have (JB5, JB6, JB7.)
