Running board Bracket Help
Working on a 1951 1/2 ton Chevy and was curious if someone could take a picture of how they attach to the frame and post it.

Re: Running board Bracket Help
I'll try to remember to take a few closeups when I get home this evening.
Unless you have built an all new frame the stock brackets should bolt up to the existing rivet holes in the frame. |

Re: Running board Bracket Help
52 Rat, thanks for the help.. What I am looking for, is that on the 3 brackets per side... I've noticed the brackets are slightly angled sideways. There are 2 longer support brackets and one shorter one and I just need to make sure I put them on the frame in the correct sequence (meaning side to side) to match up with the runningboard support mounts underneath so everythign bolts on nicely. (I'm using the stock frame and old rivet holes so no problem as far as actually bolting them to the frame goes.)
Mr. 48 chevy if you wouldn't mind taking some pics too I just forgot to number and order them when I took them off the frame originally and I can't remember how they exactly go back on in proper order. |

Re: Running board Bracket Help
As I rember the odd shape one goes in the rear by the rear fender and yes it is odd or twisted. Throw the running board on and check the bolt holes with some carriage bolts
