Its House of Kolor Urethane Brandywine Kandy over Galaxy Grey metallic base. I was going for the black cherry look but wanted a kandy so depending on the light it will go from black to red.

Well its back at the house finally. Still got a couple spots to fix but gotta wait for paint to cure and me to have some free time. Been painting the plastics and dash black with vinyl dye and so far its coming along nicely. need some different door panels though since these got a couple broken out screw holes. Got all new rubbers except for the vent windows. Those are on back order apparently. Well here are some not so great pics. its reall hard to see the true color from a camera or in the shade but theres some flake in it in the sunshine but cant see it in the shade. Its an awesome color i think.

That looks awesome. I saw Brandywine color for the first time last summer at a car show that had 1000 vehicles and everyone was taking photos of the '69 camaro painted in brandywine!!

How do you know what base color to use? Is it a "trial and Error" thing?

How does the grey base make it look any differnet than a silver base or even a white base?

Yes very much trial and error. I wanted it as dark as i could get it and we tried different color silvers and black and settled on really dark grey. Black base barely shows any red and the lighter silvers were bright red. Hope this helps basically the base color changes the hue of the candy since the candy is basically a clear tint. Im not very much of a paint person myself just knew what color i was going for. Thats the most of the battle.

Thanks for the compliment and i dont remember exactly but i ordered it through summit and it was somewhere in the neighborhood of 350 i think. I also ordered a set of two inch drop coild after that, that I have yet to install. Hoping that will drop the gap between the tire and fender a bit.

Got my new carpet in yesterday and still wating on my vent window rubbers. Once they come in and the wife gets back from vacation then i ought to be able to start putting stuff back together. Window guy is all lined up. Still cant decide on trying to polish my trim around the grill or buy new. Same goes for the door handles. they look pretty good but still dont think its gonna compare to new. Anyway heres a couple more pics i took.

Havent posted in awhile but here is a teaser shot. I have my doors all together now and most of the interior. Here is a shot with just the grill in and my black headlight bezels without the trim. I bought the new chrome molding from LMC but its crap. Its on there now but im debating on painting my original molding black and putting it back on there. Ill put more up this weekend of it mostly completed. Still need to order some new bumpers and have my seat recovered.

Your truck has come a long way, looking good. Man, it makes me miss the '84 Sierra Classic I had. My significant other is about to buy her dad's vette ('80 or '81, can't remember) all original two tone silver/black from him, cool cars. I'm diggin' those wheels too.

Since that pic i have lowered the front 2 more inches and put the trim around the grill and put all the door windows and handles in. Ill post some pics this weekend. Need to give it a bath and do some engine work to it. Cleanup Mainly. Rebuild my carb. replace my HEI with a mallory digital CDI setup. Small pidly things for the weekend. LOL

Well did a little more work this weekend. got my dash all buttoned up and my engine bay painted and a few little additions. Now I need some longer valve cover bolts Currently just sitting there and some ideas for my a/c compressor. seems i should have ordered the short valve covers for my stock R4 compressor. I have it on there just only have about an inch of adjustment cause of the lines. So help would be appreciated. Oh and is anyone here running nitrous? Im trying to ponder a good way to setup my fuel system with that edelbrock Carb.

Here are some when i got it to the first changeup and where im at now. THere was another set of finned aluminum valve covers in there but i cant find my pics of that.

VROOM VROOM.

Still working on all my wiring and mocked up my solenoids. got to drain the cooland and move some hoses around and shorten some others. THen on to plumbing my new fuel system to feed everything. Fun Fun Stuff!! THought i might get to drive it this week but looks like its going to be a couple more weeks. Oh and first pic shows how little adjustment i have with the tall valve covers and stock r-4 compressor.
