question about headers
I have a 57 gmc with a 79 camaro front clip. Has anyone used a set of block hugger headers with this combo? It will be running a 350 with a 700r4 trans. I was wanting to make sure the header dumps will clear the xmember...

Re: question about headers
If you have a ramhorn manifold sitting around set it on the engine in the truck and see how things line up. That should pretty well tell you if block huggers will work.
When I ran a rear steer Camaro subframe on the 48 I used headers intended for a Camaro/Chevelle so you might look into that first. You might even be able to borrow a set from a buddy or find a crusty set to trial fit before spending real money on them. |

Re: question about headers
I have a brand new set of block huggers I can't use that clear angle plugs for $100 plus shipping.

Re: question about headers
if they're for a Camaro they will, if they're for an early truck they won't. the rams horn manifolds won't fit a camaro or chevelle chassis at all. There are shorty headers that sweep back and fit Camaro/Chevelle type chassis.
