I didn't either. I'd be hoping I did though. That truck's in better shape than both of mine....and both of my trucks are newer. LOL

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

well ok guys, a few things have happened as of late. first of all i blew up the 350 crate motor with 45k miles on it (or so i was told) apparentlyt the timing was advanced to 16 and the aftermarket cam grenaded. nice. so now it has a 350 GM GodWrench 290hp motor with Accel distributor and coil, new water pump and new fuel pump. so after driving it for the first time, when i got on it to get going (due to traffic) it would fall flat on its face and die. research, research, research....that would be why they set the timing to +16...to cover the carb's flat spot they couldnt figure out. NICE! so a call to edelbrock direct (why mess around) led to different metering rods, helper springs, and since it wouldnt idle when in gear with AC on, a soleniod to up the idle. well then it wouldnt start when warm....edelbrock guy again....4 hole phelonic spacer to cut down heat....set timing back to 12....ladies and gentlemen, i think we have a winner...finally!!!

ok, while im pumping fist fulls of cash into this grand ol guy, what the hell...why not do the tires and lift. so 33x15x12.5 Goodyear Wranglers and then a Tough Country 2.5" suspension lift (quad front shocks). now ill add the whip antenna and eventually roll bar and then i should be good.

my biggest issue right now? found a spare tire mounting setup in the salvage yard and set it up, tire doesnt sit under there tight tho...itll move or roll a bit....WTF!?! while i was looking in the yard i did see a truck with the bumper stops on and in good shape, so i stole them for $25 too while i was at it. i've also fabricated a whip antenna mount for the cb so when that all gets done ill share more pics....

Sweet truck! Yeah show pictures when you get the whip on it
My K5 has its ears on too. The crappy cobra cant get out very far but it will pick up people from california, flordia, canada, new jersey, etc...
That's about as high as I could mount it and stay under the 14' legal limit.

I pulled a crank winch spare carrier out of a 88-98 truck. I mounted it on a brace that runs across the frame rails, just over the center of where the spare would mount and pointed the receiver for the crank striaght out the back. i drilled a 1" hole just above my tag and you can lower it with the flat-bladed end of a tire tool. it works great. No more flat on your back pushing the spare carrier up or pulling out the floor jack.

here are some crappy cell phone pics
