Re: 71 short bed parked since 73

I'm sure you can make $500 more than you paid in the blink of an eye. But i wouldn't pay more than you paid untill i saw it in person.
Good luck if you sell it.

I didn't understand why the other thread got locked. Just when it appeared there was more to the story with the auction link.

Re: 71 short bed parked since 73

I don't understand why the auction states it's in NJ. I was under the impression it was here in central Ohio. I think the thread was locked because of the general BS and naysayers. I don't care how many miles are on it, it's a neat truck.

Re: 71 short bed parked since 73

The truck was for sale in NJ and listed on Ebay by "that" seller giving "that" information. "This" member bought it and came here with "this" story intending to flip it. The Ebay link proved the "naysayers" right which presents a problem,so it was locked. I see more to it but that's all that matters. It seems this thread is still around because no one put it all together. The question is of the owner's honesty, not whether it's a good find or not. We can all agree the truck was worth $2,000 and a great find.

While this is mostly true it does not mean that the Ebay auction was in fact totally forthright.
The truck was listed on Ebay by someone that did not own the truck. It was owned by his mother. And the original owner was not his father. And he assumed that because it was an old truck that it had over 100K miles on it.
I locked that thread because it was just out of control.
Special-K was right, it was a good deal at $2K no matter what.
